Furniture donations to Pioneer Charter School of Science

Green Standards Helps Students and Teachers Get Back to School

Since 2009, Green Standards has supported more than 1,000 educational organizations including, schools, colleges, universities, and learning centers around the world. While workplaces continue to change, we are able to facilitate in-kind donations of quality furniture, equipment, and supplies to the educational sector through our sustainable decommissioning work with governments and global corporations.

When a large organization moves, renovates or downsizes their built environments, Green Standards captures value in that workplace change by keeping our client’s no longer needed assets in use within the communities in which they operate.

Conventionally, a lot of this perfectly useable furniture would find its way to landfill, but through our circular economy-inspired program we’ve proven there is a better way to extend the lifecycle of these valuable assets for our corporate partners and our communities.

“We need room to follow our curiosity, express our creativity, exercise our critical thinking, and strengthen our communication. From our school garden, to the natural areas all around us, to our spacious and open classrooms, to small nooks for silence and reflection, to our makerspace and imagination lab… Both indoors and outdoors, our new space definitely embodies the idea that our environment is the third teacher.

Thanks to our friends Green Standards for the donated furniture and equipment.”
